Prof. Dr. Ümit Özdağ, konuşmasının en çarpıcı bölümünde Türkiye'nin gerçek gündeminin açlık, yoksulluk ve ekonomik çöküş olduğunu belirterek şu değerlendirmeyi yaptı:

"Birileri kayyum, mutlak butlan ve siyasi tartışmalarla gündemi manipüle etmeye çalışırken mutfakta mutlak yangın devam ediyor."

Özdağ, 5 milyon emeklinin ve 11 milyon asgari ücretlinin açlık sınırının altında yaşam mücadelesi verdiğini, yapılan maaş artışlarının vatandaşın yaşadığı ekonomik sıkıntıları ortadan kaldırmadığını ifade etti.

Ekonomiye ilişkin değerlendirmelerinde Özdağ, Türkiye'nin doğal kaynakları ve üretim gücüne rağmen halkın yoksullaştığını belirterek dikkat çeken şu ifadeleri kullandı:

"Türkiye fakir değil, Türk halkı fakir. Çünkü Türkiye'nin zenginlikleri küçük bir grup tarafından sömürülüyor. Buna son vereceğiz."

Toplam kamu borcu yaklaşık 15 trilyon TL'ye ulaştı.

Türkiye'nin dış borcu 133 milyar dolardan 518,5 milyar dolara yükseldi.

Sanayinin ithalata bağımlı hale geldiği ve üretim ekonomisinin terk edildiği ifade edildi.

Özdağ, mevcut ekonomik modelin sürdürülebilir olmadığını savundu.

Zafer Partisi Genel Başkanı, Güvenpark'ta hak arayan gazilere destek verdiklerini belirterek önemli mesajlar verdi.

Gaziler arasında rütbe ve tarih ayrımı yapılamayacağını, devletin bütün gazilere eşit yaklaşması gerektiğini söyledi.

Ayrıca, "AK Parti iktidarı gazilerimizin taleplerini yerine getireceğine PKK'nın taleplerini tartışıyor."

S-400 hava savunma sistemlerinin üçüncü bir ülkeye satılacağı yönündeki iddiaların açıklığa kavuşturulmasını istedi.

Ayrıca, Türkiye'nin yerli hava savunma projelerinin hızlandırılması gerektiğini vurguladı.

Ümit Özdağ: "Turkey's Real Agenda Is Hunger and Poverty, Not Political Distractions"

Zafer Party Chairman Prof. Dr. Ümit Özdağ addressed a "Turkish Nation Press Conference," making strong statements on a wide range of issues, including Turkey's economic crisis, counterterrorism policies, Cyprus, and the NATO Summit.

Özdağ argued that Turkey's true national agenda is the deepening economic crisis, accusing the government of diverting public attention through political debates instead of addressing the daily struggles faced by millions of citizens.

"While Political Debates Dominate the Headlines, There Is a Fire in Every Kitchen"

One of the strongest messages of the press conference focused on the country's worsening economic conditions.

"While some are trying to manipulate the public agenda with debates over trustees, legal disputes and political engineering, there is a real fire burning in the kitchens of Turkish families."

Özdağ stated that five million retirees and eleven million minimum-wage workers are struggling below the poverty line, arguing that recent salary increases have failed to improve citizens' living standards.

"Turkey Is Rich, But the Turkish People Are Poor"

Speaking about the economy, Özdağ emphasized that Turkey possesses significant natural resources and production capacity, yet ordinary citizens continue to become poorer.

"Turkey is not a poor country. The Turkish people are poor because the country's wealth is being exploited by a small privileged group. We will put an end to this."

He outlined the Zafer Party's economic vision, which includes:

A planned economy, Planned industrialization, Planned agricultural development, Re-establishing the State Planning Organization, A productive economy based on fair distribution of national wealth

Turkey's Public Debt Has Quadrupled in 24 Years

Özdağ claimed that Turkey has become trapped in a cycle of debt and high interest rates.

According to the figures he presented:

Public debt has approached 15 trillion Turkish lira.

Turkey's external debt has increased from $133 billion to $518.5 billion.

The country's industrial sector has become increasingly dependent on imports, weakening domestic production.

He argued that the current economic model is no longer sustainable.

"Not the Century of Turkey, but the Collapse of the Middle Class"

Criticizing the government's "Century of Turkey" vision, Özdağ said:

"What they call the 'Century of Turkey' has become a period in which retirees are condemned to poverty, minimum-wage workers receive no meaningful relief, and the middle class is disappearing."

Support for Veterans

Özdağ expressed solidarity with military veterans protesting in Ankara's Güvenpark, arguing that all veterans should be treated equally regardless of rank or the period in which they served.

He also criticized the government, saying:

"Instead of fulfilling the legitimate demands of our veterans, the government is discussing the demands of the PKK terrorist organization."

Strong Criticism of the PKK Process

On counterterrorism policy, Özdağ argued that:

The PKK has not disarmed. The organization continues its activities in different countries. Its members openly declare that they are not remorseful.

He questioned why such statements receive no legal response while others face prosecution.

S-400s and the NATO Summit

Commenting on the Ankara NATO Summit, Özdağ emphasized the importance of protecting Turkey's national sovereignty.

He called for clarification regarding reports suggesting that Turkey's S-400 air defense systems could be transferred to a third country and urged the government to accelerate the development of indigenous missile defense systems.

Warning Over Cyprus

Özdağ also voiced concerns about developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.

He claimed that: The Greek Cypriot Administration is rapidly expanding its military capabilities.

Military facilities have been provided to the United States, France and Israel.

A new UN-backed Cyprus proposal is under discussion.

There are initiatives aimed at removing Turkish troops from the island.

He concluded:

"Cyprus is Turkish homeland. Cyprus represents Turkish identity, national honor and a historic responsibility."

“Ümit Özdağ Fenomeni” Neden Doğru Okunmalı?

Mehmet Öğütçü’nün son yazısı olan “Türk Siyaset Dünyasında “Ümit Özdağ Fenomeni”ni Doğru Okuyabiliyor muyuz?” aslında yalnızca bir siyasetçi analizi değil; Türkiye’nin değişen sosyolojisini, güvenlik refleksini ve yeni siyasal arayışlarını okuma açısından dikkat çekici bir çerçeve sunuyor.

Uzun süredir Türkiye’de birçok kesim, siyaseti hâlâ eski ezberlerle okumaya çalışıyor. Sağ-sol, laik-antilaik, merkez-çevre, eski kutuplaşma başlıkları…Oysa dünya artık bambaşka bir döneme girdi.

Bugün toplumlar yalnızca ekonomi konuşmuyor. Sınır güvenliği, kimlik, aidiyet, demografik yapı, göç baskısı, jeopolitik kırılganlık, devlet kapasitesi, dijital çağın yarattığı kültürel çözülme gibi başlıklar da artık siyasetin merkezine oturuyor.

Amerika’dan Avrupa’ya kadar yükselen yeni siyasal reflekslerin temelinde de bu gerçek yatıyor.

Türkiye ise coğrafi konumu nedeniyle bu dönüşümü en sert yaşayan ülkelerden biri.

İşte bu nedenle Ümit Özdağ ve Zafer Partisi’ni yalnızca günlük siyasi polemikler üzerinden okumak büyük hata olur.

Çünkü burada ortaya çıkan şey yalnızca bir parti değil;
Türkiye’de büyüyen güvenlik refleksi, devlet kapasitesi arayışı, kontrolsüz göç kaygısı, milli egemenlik hassasiyeti ve toplumsal aidiyet arzusudur.

Mehmet Öğütçü’nün yazısındaki en önemli noktalardan biri de budur.

Yazı, Ümit Özdağ’ı klasik “marjinal siyasetçi” kategorisinin dışına taşıyarak; jeopolitik okuma yapan, devlet refleksi güçlü, stratejik perspektif üreten, gelecekte Türkiye siyasetinde belirleyici etkiler oluşturabilecek bir figür olarak ele alıyor. Bu önemli bir kırılmadır.

Çünkü Türkiye’de uzun yıllar boyunca güvenlik kaygıları dile getirildiğinde bu çoğu zaman sadece slogan düzeyinde tartışıldı.

Ancak bugün dünya gerçekleri değişiyor. Avrupa’nın bile artık düzensiz göç, sınır güvenliği, demografik baskı, ulusal aidiyet, kültürel bütünlük başlıklarını yüksek sesle tartıştığı bir dönemde, Türkiye’de bu meseleleri yıllar öncesinden gündeme taşıyan isimlerin yeniden değerlendirilmesi gerekiyor.

Burada önemli olan nokta şudur

Bir siyasetçiyi sevmek ya da sevmemek başka şeydir.
Toplumda neden karşılık bulduğunu doğru analiz etmek başka şey.

Bugün özellikle genç kuşaklarda, devlet refleksi güçlü, Atatürkçü, seküler, ama aynı zamanda güvenlik hassasiyeti yüksek yeni bir sosyolojik damar oluşuyor.

Bu damar kendisini yalnızca klasik sağ-sol ekseninde tanımlamıyor. Daha çok: “Devlet ayakta kalmalı, Türkiye kontrolünü kaybetmemeli, sınırlar korunmalı, ülke demografik baskı altında ezilmemeli” duygusuyla hareket ediyor.

Ümit Özdağ’ın yükselişini hazırlayan temel zemin de budur.

Elbette modern siyasette yalnızca güvenlik dili yetmez. Ekonomi, üretim, teknoloji, yapay zekâ, eğitim, kurumsallaşma, dış politika dengesi, gençlik vizyonu gibi alanlarda da güçlü projeler gerekir.

Zaten Mehmet Öğütçü’nün dikkat çektiği önemli başlıklardan biri de budur.

Çünkü Türkiye artık yalnızca slogan değil; devlet yönetme kapasitesi görmek istiyor.

Ancak şu gerçek de inkâr edilemez:

Türkiye’de yeni dönem siyasetinde, Ümit Özdağ ve Zafer Partisi artık görmezden gelinebilecek bir alanın dışına çıkmıştır.

Bugün mesele yalnızca bir partinin oy oranı değil; Türkiye’de oluşan yeni devlet refleksinin hangi siyasal merkezde şekilleneceğidir.

Bu nedenle Mehmet Öğütçü’nün yazısı kıymetlidir.

Çünkü peşin hüküm üretmeden, etiket siyasetinden uzak durarak, Türkiye’de oluşan yeni toplumsal ve siyasal zemini anlamaya çalışan stratejik bir perspektif ortaya koymaktadır.

Türkiye’nin bugün en fazla ihtiyaç duyduğu şey de tam olarak budur: Bağıran değil analiz eden, etiketleyen değil anlamaya çalışan, kutuplaştıran değil devlet aklıyla düşünen bir yaklaşım.

A New Era in Turkish Politics
Why the “Ümit Özdağ Phenomenon” Must Be Read Correctly

Mehmet Öğütçü’s recent article, “Can We Properly Understand the ‘Ümit Özdağ Phenomenon’ in Turkish Politics?”, is not merely a political profile analysis; it also offers a remarkable framework for understanding Turkey’s changing sociology, security reflexes, and emerging political searches.

For a long time, many circles in Türkiye have continued trying to interpret politics through outdated formulas: right vs. left, secular vs. anti-secular,
center vs. periphery, and old polarization narratives.

However, the world has entered a completely different era.

Today, societies are no longer discussing only the economy.
Border security, identity, belonging, demographic transformation, migration pressure, geopolitical fragility, state capacity, and the cultural erosion created by the digital age are now at the center of politics.

This reality lies behind the rise of new political reflexes from the United States to Europe.

And Türkiye, because of its geographical position, is one of the countries experiencing this transformation most intensely.

That is precisely why it would be a major mistake to evaluate Ümit Özdağ and the Zafer Party merely through daily political polemics.

Because what is emerging here is not simply a political party;
it is the rise of a growing security reflex in Türkiye, a search for stronger state capacity, concerns over uncontrolled migration, sensitivity toward national sovereignty, and a desire for social belonging.

One of the most important aspects of Mehmet Öğütçü’s article is exactly this point.

The article moves Ümit Özdağ beyond the category of a “marginal politician” and presents him as a figure capable of geopolitical analysis, possessing strong state reflexes, producing strategic perspectives, and potentially shaping the future direction of Turkish politics.

This represents a significant turning point.

For years in Türkiye, security concerns were often discussed only at the slogan level.

But global realities are changing.

At a time when even Europe openly debates irregular migration, border security, demographic pressure, national identity, and cultural cohesion, figures who raised these issues years earlier in Türkiye deserve to be reassessed.

The essential point is this:

Liking or disliking a politician is one thing.
Correctly understanding why that politician resonates with society is another.

Today, especially among younger generations, a new sociological current is emerging: state-conscious, Atatürkist, secular,
yet simultaneously highly sensitive to security concerns.

This current does not define itself solely through the traditional right-left spectrum.

Rather, it is driven by the belief that: “The state must remain strong,
Türkiye must not lose control, borders must be protected,
and the country must not collapse under demographic pressure.”

This is the very foundation behind Ümit Özdağ’s political rise.

Of course, in modern politics, security discourse alone is not enough.

Strong visions are also required in: economy, production, technology,
artificial intelligence, education, institutionalization, foreign policy balance, and youth-oriented policies.

Indeed, this is another critical point highlighted by Mehmet Öğütçü.

Because Türkiye no longer wants slogans alone;
it wants to see state-management capacity.

Yet one reality can no longer be denied:

In the new era of Turkish politics, Ümit Özdağ and the Zafer Party have moved beyond a position that can simply be ignored.

The issue today is not merely a party’s vote percentage;
it is about which political center will shape the new state reflex emerging in Türkiye.

That is why Mehmet Öğütçü’s article is valuable.

Because without prejudice and away from the politics of labeling, it attempts to understand the new social and political ground forming in Türkiye through a strategic perspective.

And this is exactly what Türkiye needs most today:
not voices that shout, but minds that analyze; not those who label, but those who seek to understand; not those who polarize, but those who think with the wisdom of the state.

İTO Meclisinde Güçlü Mesaj

“Türkiye Artık Avrupa’nın Yönünü Belirleyen Stratejik Güç”

İstanbul Ticaret Odası’nın 14 Mayıs 2026 Perşembe günü gerçekleştirilen Mayıs Ayı Meclis Toplantısı’nda konuşan İTO Başkanı Şekib Avdagiç, küresel ekonomide yaşanan dönüşüm sürecinde Türkiye’nin kritik rolüne dikkat çekti.

Avdagiç, Türkiye’nin artık yalnızca bölgesel değil; Avrupa’nın ekonomik güvenliği, üretim kapasitesi ve tedarik zinciri açısından belirleyici ülkelerden biri haline geldiğini vurguladı.

Küresel ticaret dengelerinin yeniden kurulduğu bir dönemde Türkiye’nin önüne “tarihsel fırsat penceresi” açıldığını belirten Avdagiç, asıl meselenin bu fırsatları stratejik dönüşüme çevirebilmek olduğunu söyledi.

Türkiye Yeni Dünyanın Üretim Üssü Olabilir

“Türkiye artık menüde değil, masada yer alan aktörlerden biridir.”

Avrupa’nın üretim güvenliği arayışında Türkiye’nin stratejik partner konumuna yükseldiğine dikkat çekilen toplantıda; elektrikli araçlar, batarya teknolojileri, yeşil çelik, temiz enerji ekipmanları ve savunma sanayiinde Türkiye’nin kritik rol üstlenebileceği ifade edildi.

“Sorun Sadece Enflasyon Değil”

Mayıs ayı meclis toplantısında ekonomiye ilişkin dikkat çeken değerlendirmelerde bulunan Şekib Avdagiç, Türkiye’nin temel probleminin yalnızca enflasyon olmadığını söyledi.

Özellikle üretim maliyetlerinin verimlilik artışını aşmasının ve emek yoğun sektörlerde rekabet gücünün azalmasının en önemli risklerden biri olduğuna dikkat çeken Avdagiç, Türk sanayisinin tüm zorluklara rağmen üretmeye devam ettiğini belirtti.

Yüksek faiz, finansmana erişim sorunları ve enerji maliyetlerine rağmen reel sektörün fedakârlıkla ayakta kaldığını söyleyen Avdagiç, Türkiye’nin rekabetçiliğini kaybetmeden büyümesini sürdürmesi gerektiğini ifade etti.

Yapay zekâ, dijitalleşme ve yeni ekonomik modellerin dünyayı dönüştürdüğünü belirten konuşmada; dayanıklılık, iş birliği ve diplomatik diyaloğun önemine dikkat çekildi.

İstanbul’dan Dünyaya “Barış” Çağrısı

İstanbul Vali Yardımcısı Hasan Gözen ise yaptığı konuşmada İstanbul’un tarih boyunca medeniyetlerin buluşma noktası olduğunu vurguladı.

Gözen, dünyanın giderek daha fazla çatışma ve güvensizlik ortamına sürüklendiğini ifade ederek, uluslararası kuruluşların artık daha adil ve etkili hale gelmesi gerektiğini söyledi.

Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın “Dünya beşten büyüktür” söyleminin bugün çok daha anlamlı hale geldiğini belirten Gözen, sivil toplumun uluslararası barış için daha etkin rol üstlenmesi gerektiğini dile getirdi.

Delivering the opening speech, Marmara Group Foundation President Dr. Akkan Suver left a remarkable impression on the audience with his globally respected visionary leadership. Deputy Governor of Istanbul Hasan Gözen stated that Istanbul has historically been a meeting point of civilizations.

Gözen emphasized that the world is increasingly facing conflicts and insecurity and argued that international organizations must become more just and effective.

He also noted that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s statement “The world is bigger than five” has become more meaningful than ever in today’s global environment.
